Insolvency practitioners may need to be licensed if a working group reviewing the law on company collapses suggests it.

On Tuesday Commerce Minister Paul Goldsmith announced the appointment of a panel of experts to give advice on a review of insolvency law, led by former Deloitte partner Graeme Mitchell.

John Fisk, the PwC partner who has led some of New Zealand’s highest profile liquidations, including Pike River and Ross Asset Management, is also part of the panel. The group is expected to report back to Goldsmith in mid-2016…
